Description

Dzi (pronounced Zee) is a Tibetan word used to describe a patterned, usually agate, of mainly oblong, round, cylindrical or tabular shape pierced lengthwise called Heaven’s Bead (tian zhu) in Chinese.

These beads, especially old ones are thought to carry protective energies, and it is even said that they can save your life, absorbing your death into them and then cracking afterwords.

These are highly prized and to be honest rarely found, and every expensive. So what we see today are human made.

However the original ones were said to have been found primarily in Tibet and neighbouring Bhutan, and were most often found by Shepherds and farmers  who would pick them up in the grasslands or while working their fields.

This piece has a Dzi bead set into silver with a small piece of spiny oyster shell at the top.

I have strung this piece with faucet Carnelian beads and Tibetan Black agate eye beads.

Carnelian is said to restore vitality and motivation, as well as stimulating your creativity and passion for life.

It is also said to be a stone of courage, and can support us in healing from any kind of trauma.

It is also said that it helps us in trusting ourselves and our perceptions, in other words it supports us in trusting our own inner truth cord and intuitions, which is useful for all of us, but also for those who have suffered a trauma that took away their belief that they can make good choices. It overcomes negative conditioning .

Carnelian is a stone of passion said to boost fertility and stimulate our sexuality.

Overall this talisman carries protective energies as well as energizing our creativity and passion for life.
