Greetings, it is an honour to see you here...

I believe everyone has within themselves a wellspring of wisdom that can be realized through ancestral connection, animist practices and working in the liminal spaces between.

The Land I Stand On

I would like to acknowledge the land that I live on as being originally Indigenous and that I am a guest here.

For the past 22 years I lived and raised my family on the stolen ancestral and traditional lands that were, and still are, the unceded territories of the Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh)  kʷikʷəƛ̓əm (Kwikwetlem), xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), Stó:lō and Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) territories, in so-called British Columbia.

At the time of this writing I currently live on the ceded lands of the Lenape, Munsee and Mohican first people in what is now known as New Rochelle New York.

It has been and continues to be an honor to live on these beautiful lands.

My name is Nikiah {pronounced Nik-Eye-Ah}

I am a fourth generation Canadian settler currently living on the ceded lands of the Lenape, Munsee and Mohican first peoples. My ancestors came to Canada via Romania, Scotland, Ireland and England.

I first came to this work during some of my own hardest initiations and am deeply grateful for those whose guidance and  mentorship carried me and supported me through.

With thousands of hours spent in ceremony and community, years and years of training and learning to navigate the unseen realms {shamanically} and having been initiated as a spirit healer, my work has evolved and culminated into what you see here as my current offerings.

Over the past two decades, I have been creating ceremonies for the birth, death, re-birth cycles that we as humans go through and this work is embedded deeply in my soul.

I would say that at my core I am a  traditional animist Spirit worker/Healer.

I was trained and initiated into northern European animist/shamanic tradition, and my work is informed by the many teachings and teachers I have been fortunate to have guide me over the past two decades.

I  have raised two children with my  husband/partner of 27 years and am now at the midlife time where my focus is able to be more outward rather than inward, which allows me to see things with less of the ego I carried in my 20's and 30's.

In a world where "age wisdom" is not as honoured as it once was, I am interested in learning how to deepen, slow down and learn from my own elders so that when the time comes I too can become a good elder and eventually ancestor.

I offer self-guided courses, year-long group training, in depth apprenticeships and one-on-one, intuitive ancestral journey work. I am also a weaver and offer custom sacred pieces curated with intention and ceremony.

You can explore learning on your own, from your home, by taking my self-guided courses such as The Magic and Folklore of Trees, or if you are a leader perhaps Holders of Staff and Bone is calling…

Further to these courses you can deepen your experience with the Year-Long Sacred Path program, delving deeply into your own sacred pathway.

Get into working with your hands to craft a Red Drum, Honeybee Drum or Ancestral Rattle. Each of these maker courses provides you with a supply kit in the mail and comprehensive instructions to guide you in crafting sacred instruments.

I am here to hold sacred space holding a safe and welcoming container for you as you dive into your own personal journey of reclamation and healing.

This is my soul work, and it is an honor to be able to offer it as I do. If you are ready to answer the call of your own wild soul connecting to the ancient wisdom of your ancestors, and the animist nature of the forest then you are in the right place.
