Description

This Ruana/Cape is dedicated to the Morrigan, known as the great  warrior queen/Goddess in Irish and Celtic mythology.

The Morrígan has mostly been associated with war and the fate of humans especially with foretelling doom, death, or victory in battle and  she is often seen appearing as a crow.

The colours I choose here are Black and Purple with some magic silver threaded through to represent her mystic aspect.

I have added in some curly locks at each side, which lends the piece a feeling of wildness.

The rattle is made of Elk hide and deer leather. Inside the rattle I have placed painted corn, small chips of garnet and amethyst. On the front is a small raven carved from bone and a white Celtic knot.

Sizing:

If you want to figure an accurate way this might fit you, take two shawls approx 17″ wide and 77″ long{Including tassels} and drape one over each shoulder, this is how the Ruana will fit you.

For scale I am 5.7″ tall and the Ruana drapes over my shoulders and falls mid calf at my back. It also drapes easily over my shoulder for extra cozyness.
