As a Pisces, water has always been a happy place for me to turn to, but like most folks my happy place tends to be specific, most likely to where I grew up, and for me that is rivers…

I love the sound of streams and rivers as the water tumbles over rocks and into crevices, especially in the spring time when things are melting and water is flowing..

I also love the lazy way a big river will flow in the summer, gentle, but still powerfully, always moving, flowing…

This shawl has water in mind, but not just river waters, but all waters, from the rivers and lakes that all flow into the Oceans, from the sky above to the rain falling to us below, all of it….

For this piece I spent a lot of time carding and creating custom yarn that was woven in to represent the undulating aspect that water carries, as it shapeshifts and changes…

I used warns with silver and gold sparkle and wove it a little more narrow then I usually do, so it can cross over from a shawl to a scarf and back easily.

I made this piece to be able to convert into a long wrap-able scarf, or to easily transform into a shawl, so you can wear it however you wish.

This shawl is 85″ long not including the tassels and 16″ wide.
