Over the past couple of months I have been slowly and intentionally working on a new collection of weavings dedicated to the elementals which I often refer to as the first four ancestors.

Earth, Air, Fire and Water are all fundamental to our well being and survival on this beautiful planet we call home.

Our bodies are made up of these elementals and when we die our bodies return to them as we go back to the earth.

As I sat with not just a colour palette dedicated to these beautiful ancestors I also wanted to channel the movement and play within each so those who wear these creations also can move and play, catching the trail of their essence as they cloak themselves in these weavings.

This air shawl was created with the winds, and movement in m ind, using shades of white and pale blue to capture the invisible nature of air/wind I wanted as well to give a sense of movement and play, leaving spaces between the weave and allowing for spirals and different forms to appear within the piece itself.

This piece comes with a shawl pin and is 102″ inches ling including tassels.
