Description

This shawl was inspired by the long nights followed by the return of the sun on the solstice, and by owls and other creatures whose colour changes during the winter time.

This piece was intended for cold winter nights, and as such I made it extra long for wrapping fully around!

It comes with a bone feather shawl pin and the yarns used are merino, cotton and other types of wool, such as the curly locks from local {upstate NY} farms that you see close to each end of the shawl.

I also decided to make the tassels fancy, as this piece was just calling for an extra touch of beauty.

 

The length including tassels is 96″
