Grey Wolf Shawl
$400.00
“Wildlife and Wild omen are both endangered species” Clarissa Pinkola Estes.
The grey wolf/Canis Lupis is the most commonly known wolf, in fact all wolves are commonly known as the grey wolf, unless we are talking about the white wolf or the Arctic wolf which is a subspecies of the grey wolf.
This shawl is one of a set of two that I made back to back this past summer, as a channeled and worked within the container of wildness and what the wolf means to me…
I wanted these shawls to be textured and “pelt like” so the wearer would feel a sense of feeling their own wildness and animal-like tendencies.
The grey one shown here was made using a combination of Irish wool, Merino wool, hand-spun and raw curly locks to indicate shaggyness and movement when it is being worn.
The length is: 75″ and the width is: 22″
